Coal-Fired Power Plant

Coal-fired power plants play a very important role in power generation. The electricity generated by such power plants account for 80% of generated electricity. Since 1983, CMEC Comtrans has provided complete logistics services to dozens of key coal-fired power plant projects. The unit capacity of these projects ranged from 25MW to 600MW. We provided logistics services for equipment weighing up to 365 tons.

Coal-fired power plant equipment is large and has a long transportation cycle. These overweight and oversized goods are demanding in terms of packaging, securing, loading, unloading, and transport safety. According to the specific needs of each project, we formulate a tailored logistics plan to ensure that the equipment arrives at the project site on-time and intact.

Gas Turbine Power Plant

Gas turbine power plants, or gas turbine generator power plants, utilize a lot of overweight and oversized equipment, such as gas turbines, generators, and transformers. High-value gas turbine equipment places strict demands on project duration and logistics. Problems at any stage in transportation could hinder the safe and timely arrival of oversized cargo at the site and the completion of the project.

CMEC Comtrans has much experience in shipping equipment for gas turbine power plants with different capacities to countries such as Iraq, Malaysia, Equatorial Guinea, Pakistan, and Nigeria. We believe that careful logistics planning and strict transportation execution are necessary for the smooth completion of such projects.

Hydroelectric Power Plant

Most hydroelectric power plants are located in mountainous areas or areas of complex topography with uneven roads and numerous bridges, culverts, and tunnels. All of these features pose severe challenges to project logistics service providers. In these situations, CMEC Comtrans uses its outstanding team of technical experts to create a feasible, cost-effective, and safe transportation plan for core parts, such as 200-ton ball valves. According to the transportation plan, our experts devise further plans for road and bridge transformation, including bridge reconstruction, bridge reinforcement, road widening, and temporary pier construction. After these transformations, our dedicated team follows standardized procedures for shipping overweight or oversized cargo for hydroelectric power plants, using their rich experience and excellent technical skills. Our team will also create emergency plans to ensure the safe and timely arrival of large hydroelectric equipment at the project site.

Since facilitating the Comanche Hydroelectric Power Plant in the USA in the 1980s, CMEC Comtrans has used its rich experience, technical strength, and dedicated team to undertake logistics tasks for many hydroelectric power projects.

Substation and Transmission Line

Electricity transmission and transformation projects are an essential part of any power plant. Over the years, CMEC Comtrans has developed a seasoned project operations team and established a set of packaging and transport standards for each type of product.

For 10KV to 220KV lines, we provide customers with a complete transport plan based on a site survey. We also prepare special packaging, stowing, transporting, and warehousing plans for these crucial and fragile parts.

Our dedicated staff monitors the entire transportation process, beginning with the factory packaging of fragile and valuable substation equipment, including outdoor porcelain insulation sleeves and indoor component boxes. As a result of the hands-on experience we have gained over the years, we have an excellent understanding of packaging and transportation needs for all types of equipment. For example, in transformer shipping, we make strict inspections according to IEC standards and ensure that, after the transformer has arrived at the site, the technical shipping parameters meet standards.

Wind Power

As a clean, renewable energy source, wind power has attracted much attention worldwide. The wind power market is developing in step with the world economy. CMEC Comtrans has closely followed market trends domestically and internationally. In recent years, we have studied wind power equipment and successfully facilitated imports and domestic transportation for the Shangyi and Sinovel wind power projects.

Because wind power equipment is oversized and delicate, we establish safe and reliable plans for securing the equipment. We also offer complete tracking by a professional team, which ensures that all the goods arrive at the destination undamaged. We have built our reputation in wind power equipment transportation through our relationships with experienced global partners and our hands-on logistics experience.

Civil Engineering

Civil engineering covers residential and commercial buildings, warehouses, offices, cultural, sports, medical or scientific research facilities, and telecommunications. In recent years, CMEC Comtrans has participated in numerous civil engineering projects. The materials for civil engineering projects are usually a variety of prefabricated parts with numerous customs declaration requirements. Since such goods are usually transported in containers, there are strict requirements related to container stuffing and shipping schedules. Despite this, CMEC Comtrans has successfully completed a series of such projects in a highly professional manner, thus providing value to our customers.
